In this course, we will explore the issues surrounding human rights violations within the cocoa industry. You will learn about the exploitation and abuse of workers, particularly children, as well as the environmental impacts of cocoa production. Through case studies and real-life examples, we will examine the root causes of these issues and discuss potential solutions to promote ethical and sustainable practices. You will be able to teach, train, consult and share with others to further the reach of human-rights in your social and professional groups.

By the end of this course, you will have a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the cocoa industry and the importance of upholding human rights in business operations. You will be equipped with Human Rights knowledge and tools to advocate for change and advocate for, consult for or just supporting companies that prioritize ethical sourcing and responsible production. This course will empower you to make informed decisions as a cacao farmer, chocolate-maker, chocolate lover, Certified Chocolate Sommelier and especially Human Rights advocates, allowing your contribution to the fight against exploitation in the cocoa supply chain to extend to its max.
